Jerm9 got his second Basco5 tattoo (here's the first), this is a pretty big honour, and think this image has found a good home on his chest.

Personal Imprint

You might notice a similar tattoo on my charactors as the one I recently got. I guess my characters are a reflection of myself.

Going Big In Arhus

This is a huge 84 square meter banner that I painting on in Arhus. I did the character in the helmet, using paint, rollers, makers and tons of brushes. It took about five days to complete with the help of my trusty assistant Rasmus. It was to promote helmet safety in Denmark.

Painting Video

This video is a little showcase of some of my painting. I'm trying to think about the possibilities of making small video's to showcase my art, upcoming projects and creative thoughts. It feels like like it to lead to something interesting. How about making monthly updates about what is happening for Basco5, or showcase works that are for sale. I haven't seen a lot of artist use this form of promotion with in the fine art realm.

Life Improves

Saturday and it's raining outside, finished off two new paintings this week. I'm going to be apart of something called the Clash Festival here in Copenhagen. I'll have 5 paintings in it. Were hanging the works up on a fence, i think it's easier when you use a white wall. Still I'm sure it will be fun. I recently got a new art studio as well, I'm sharing it with some pretty good people and I'm so looking forward to using it more. It's also very close to my home and so it's nice to be able to just pop in. I've always had studio's that were very far away from where I lived and often I would sleep at the studio, that wasn't always the most pleasent. Life improves with time:)

Post 100

Well it's my 100th blog post, strangely I kindah had to dig deep to find something to show this week. It's a folder layout, with the elements taken from a earlier design project. The last two weeks or so i have not been doing tons of painting/illustrations, so there hasn't been the regular update (mostly on flickr). I have had trouble getting into a good work flow lately, and it seems hard to find time to sit down and do art. I'm currently looking at getting a studio space, that will bring me away from working at home and distractions. Probably the best thing for my art would be to quit school and just go at it, the early morning wake ups kindah throw me off balence and then when at night when I start to be creative then I have to go to bed. I look forward to the days of deciding my own schedual.

Lo-Fi-Fnk

A very good Swedish electro, dance, group called Lo-Fi-Fnk. Their music will make you want to dance while smiling. I suggest you play Want U, and City, also try the Remixes (actually they are all good)

Enjoy!

Forest Chrystals

I realize that on vacation I have more time to surf the net and blog, I just came across a deign studio called Forest, they have started to do the art direction for a magazine called Anthem (fashion, music, art), it's pretty neat stuff. I'm liking this wave of designers that mix it up with fine art. It feels like everything is melding together and that there are not as many limits on what is art and what is design (you can paint and do graphic design, and still get respect for both.)

In my own little art world I did two simple paintings, I seem to be getting more into shapes. I think it's just because I can shut my brain off when doing simple things like triangles, it's like a creative vacation.
